No Kings 3 doesn’t happen without people who show up, step up, and take care of each other. If you want to be part of making March 28 run smoothly and safely, we’d love to have you on the volunteer team. No experience necessary — just a willingness to show up and serve your community.

STEP ONE: PICK A TIME
When are you availble to serve? The sign-up sheet is broken into three time slots:
- 10:00 AM – All Volunteer Roles
- 11:00 AM – Parking Team #2 only
- 1:30 PM – Clean-up only
You can sign up for one time slot or all three — just add your name and contact info under each role and time slot you’re covering.
We’d rather you ⬇️underpromise and ⬆️overdeliver, so only sign up for what you can actually do.
If something comes up and you need to cancel, contact Megan Hardy as soon as possible. Contact details are on the sign-up sheet.
STEP TWO: JOIN A TEAM
👋 WELCOME / DIRECTION TEAM – Team lead: Rob Yoder
You’ll be stationed along the walking route to greet people as they arrive and point them toward the event space.
✅ MOVING CHECK-IN TEAM – Team lead: Rob Yoder
You’ll move through the incoming crowd in the opposite direction of foot traffic. Working in pairs — one volunteer helps people scan the QR code to join, the other places a green sticker on them to confirm check-in.
🟢 FINAL ENTRY TEAM – Team lead: Rob Yoder
You’ll be positioned closer to Union Station, watching for the green sticker. If someone doesn’t have one, you’ll help them scan in or direct them to the check-in table. The check-in table also serves as a home base for volunteers to regroup.
🦺 SAFETY MARSHALS – Team lead: Sheri Grace
PLEASE NOTE: Safety Marshals must have attended at least one training session, and they are required to be present for the entire event.
You’ll work in pairs alongside police to keep attendees safely on the sidewalks as they walk from parking areas to Union Station. Our permit covers sidewalk use only — your job is to keep people out of traffic on MLK, which stays busy on Saturdays. People may chant or carry signs as they walk in; that’s fine. Your focus is safety and participant check-in.
🚗 PARKING TEAMS (1 & 2) – Team leads: West Caudle and Selvyn Jordan
You’ll direct vehicles into designated parking zones. Two teams, one-hour shifts.
🔧 SETUP / LOGISTICS TEAM – Team lead: David Lusk
You’ll help set up tents, tables, signage, and other event infrastructure before the rally begins.
🧹 CLEAN-UP TEAM – Team lead: David Lusk
You’ll help clean up after the event wraps — picking up after ourselves and others. Trash bags and gloves provided. Being a good steward of the space directly affects our ability to hold events here in the future.
