Headshot of Rev. Dr. William Barber IIBREAKING NEWS UPDATE:
We’re honored that the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber will be calling in LIVE to speak directly to our community during the event. While he is preparing to preach in Washington, DC, he made it clear he wants to connect with Winston-Salem and the movement we are building together.

Forsyth County Democratic Party Chair Jenny Marshall, Winston-Salem educator the Rev. Daryl Napper, Forsyth County Association of Educators president Jennifer Easter, and Winston-Salem community leader Charles Terry are the guest speakers.

Building on the theme “We Rise Together”, Marshall’s remarks will focus on the importance of strengthening democracy from the ground up. Napper will speak on justice, morality, and responsibility. Easter will focus on education and community. Terry will encourage the younger generations to fight for the future they deserve. Dr. Robert Rominger and “Building Bridges Through Singing” will lead attendees in songs of resistance and resilience. DJ Payne will provide additional protest music.

Free parking will be available beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church, the Bethlehem Community Center, Forsyth County Department of Social Services, Forsyth County Public Health Overflow Parking, M&F Bank, and the former Chronicle parking lot. A map showing all the parking sites is available on CCUI’s website. (camelcityunitedindivisible.org/nokings3-directions-parking/)

For safety, everyone should remain on the sidewalks as they make their way to Union Station. Volunteers will be on hand to guide attendees throughout the venue area.

CCUI Founder, Rudy Click, said, “Across the country, communities are holding “No Kings” events to remind the nation that power in America does not belong to kings, strongmen, or the wealthy few. It belongs to the people — neighbors who organize, show up, and stand together to shape the future of their communities.”

“No Kings” rallies are rooted in non-violent, meaningful, and fun protest. Stand with your neighbors, hold signs, and wear frog costumes. Register to attend “No Kings 3” on Mobilize at www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/906182 and visit camelcityunitedindivisible.org for more information.
