Our next rally, NO KINGS 3, takes place March 28 at Union Station, 300 Martin Luther King Boulevard — a site that carries both historical weight and present-day energy.
No Kings is a nationwide, grassroots protests movement led by Indivisible and allied groups to oppose what participants describe as rising authoritarianism and threats to democratic norms in the United States. The rallies draw people in hundreds of communities to peacefully affirm that the country should be governed by its people — not by “kings” — and have grown into some of the largest protest days in U.S. history, with millions taking part.
Union Station once connected Winston-Salem to the broader region as a major rail hub. Today, it stands at the gateway to East Winston, a community shaped by Black history, labor organizing, and civil rights leadership. Holding this event at Union Station places No Kings 3 within that legacy of civic courage and collective action.

The location offers strong visibility, accessible gathering space, and a setting that reflects the values behind the event. It also allows organizers to use a permitted, city-owned site that supports safe planning and coordinated logistics.
Attendance at previous No Kings events has demonstrated significant community engagement. Union Station is well-suited for a focused, high-impact gathering of approximately 1,800 to 2,000 participants — a size that allows for strong energy while maintaining safety and organization.
Event infrastructure is being carefully planned. Restroom facilities, including accessible units and wash stations, will be on site. Organizers are also exploring use of a city-provided stage to improve visibility and sound quality, helping ensure that speakers and performers can be clearly heard throughout the crowd.
With several weeks remaining before March 28, preparations continue to finalize parking coordination, volunteer recruitment, and outreach efforts. If you’d like to volunteer with us, please reach out to Rudy Click at rudolph@camelcityunitedindivisible.com.
No Kings 3 represents more than a single gathering. It reflects an ongoing commitment to visible, organized civic participation. At Union Station — a place shaped by movement and connection — the community will once again come together to demonstrate what collective action looks like in real time.
March 28. Union Station.
