Rooted in the principles of justice, equity, and democracy, CCUI is committed to building people power and transforming our community from the ground up.

Indivisible is a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to demand a real democracy. We believe that politics is too important to leave up to the politicians – it requires all of us to get on the field. As a local chapter of Indivisible.org, we share in the organization’s national mission:

We are working hard to build and sustain a grassroots movement of local groups that advocate for progressive policies and elect progressive leaders.

At CCUI, we go further by centering our work on deep, long-term community building—especially in historically neglected and marginalized neighborhoods.

We believe that true political transformation begins with listening, showing up, and building trust with our neighbors.

Through organizing, education, and direct engagement, we aim to empower residents, shift local narratives, and create a more inclusive and just Forsyth County.

Whether we’re knocking on doors, hosting listening sessions, standing in protest, or gathering in fellowship, we are united in purpose: to build a stronger, more connected community that reflects the values of justice, dignity, and collective power.

Join us as we refuse, resist, rest, and repeat—building the world we deserve, one conversation and one community at a time.
